Private BVI Water Taxi – Easy Peasy Customs & Save’s Time

BVI Water Taxi

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐~ Stephen L.

From the Minute we stepped off the plane in St Thomas to arriving at Scrub Island our service was amazing. Definitely worth the extra cost for the private BVI Water Taxi to and from the area. We utilized SeaHorse to and from for our couples trip in January. From the time we booked to arrival they stayed in touch with us and took care of all our customs information for us. Our captain Anthony was prompt and made sure to take care of us with music and coolers full of drinks for everyone for our ride. Was a very stress and hassle free experience clearing both sets of Customs thanks to their assistance. Would absolutely book again with Seahorse.

BVI Water Taxi FAQ

Yeah...this isn't as straight forward as you'd want. Kinda like asking, what does a drink cost? You may want to jump to the bottom line cost, but what is included? (and more importantly not included?)
- Where are you going? (West End? Jost Van Dyke? The Moorings? Virgin Gorda?)
- Is land taxi included or not included? Most don't provide land taxi
- What level of customer service do you expect?
- Are customs fees included?
- Is there a minimum number of passengers required? (This can change depending on weekdays or weekends)
- How many people are in your group?
- Is your transport combined or private?
- Do they charge for guaranteed private service?
- Are you arriving after hours? Do you need to leave early?
- What kind of boat are you on? Is it nice...or dilapidated?
- Are there hidden fees? (...like a 12% tacked on to the stated price for credit card processing and gross tax...)
...Yeah,,,you may need an MBA to figure this all out
Bottom line your going to get quotes from $500 - $5000, it just depends on what is included.

It really depends on what best means...
Cheapest...take the ferry
Shortest...fly into Tortola
Most Expensive...helicopter
Funnest (like James Bond fun)...Private Water Taxi!
The Charlotte-Amalie ferry to Road Town is a 5-10 minute taxi ride from STT.

The taxi ride from STT to Red Hook...is a little more complicated. Here is the skinny...once you exit the baggage claim, there is a row of drivers and vans. You'll be asked where you're going and then be assigned to a van. Getting to Red Hook also means dropping off those along the way. What is normally a 25-30 minute drive now becomes 90 minutes...
Water Taxi is by far the most efficient.
Alternatively, you can take two ferries. You'll want to take the AquaVentures Ferry from Red Hook to West End, and then wait an hour+ until the New Horizos Ferry
