BVI West Islands Highlights

Norman Island

One of the major reasons guests love the caves is the outstanding diversity of fish and sea life. Donning your mask and fins and entering the cool salty water, you will be transported to another world. You will see schools of fish teaming around you during your visit.

The Indians are an outcropping of rocks west of Norman Island. They project up into the air almost 50 feet. On one side is a reef teaming with life and exploration. There is a 15 foot tunnel and underwater cavern to explore. On the other side of the outcropping is a completely different landscape.  The caves are unique, not only because of the visual experience but also the historical significance. The caves are naturally occurring and go back into Norman Island some ways. Bring an underwater flashlight to explore further and deeper! Also, they are believed to be the inspiration for the caves in Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Jost Van Dyke
